(June 5th, 2010 New York, NY) The Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) have organized more free health care events in 26 states across the country to take place on June 5th. Over 200 Pakistani-American doctors have volunteered their time and services for this Free Health Care Day.
"Pakistani-Americans are an important part of the American family and have been giving back for decades,” said Dr. Zeelaf Munir MD, president of APPNA. "APPNA doctors have donated their time and services for years, and we hope o help thousands of our fellow Americans on our first coordinated National Free Health Care Day.”She will be at the Harlem location on Saturday and is available for interviews before the event or on location on the day of the event. Local Pakistani-American doctors will be offering their services for free as part of the larger APPNA National Health Care Initiative. APPNA is a charitable organization dedicated to fostering scientific development and education in the field of medicine and to delivering better health care, irrespective of race, color, creed, or gender.
