BLOGGING: Kerala's blogging conference, on a houseboat

Pg_bg02 And you thought Mallu culture was limited to cabbage thoran, fish curry and the suffocating grip of municipal unions. No, friend, there's so much more - so much that the spineless MSM dare not touch - and it's all going down at the first-ever BlogCamp Kerala. And if that's not enough to entice you, consider that it's being held on a houseboat, the same exact one you see to the right.

The August 16 event (not the 18th, as I'd originally typed) is being organized by blogger Kenney Jacob, whose mother is a veterinarian with her own blog. Jacob roped in Kerala Tourism (thus the houseboat) and has managed to score some decent media coverage, by Mathrubhumi and New Indian Express.

Some of the topics being addressed:

  • Blogging and Entrepreneurship: taking up blogging as a career
  • Monetizing a Blog
  • Malayalam Blogging
  • Corporate Blogging
  • Campus Blogging - the future of campus publication.=s
  • Blogging Ethics
