FUN STUFF: The Sari Sisters

I was reading The Hindu and this is what I see. Venus Williams and Serena Williams are currently in Bangalore for the Bangalore Open tournament and are hoping to win the doubles title.

Any fashion experts here? What do you think?

Well, these two Aunties look lot cuter than the latest catwalk fashion models

I'm not so sure. Serena is usually a great dresser, but I don't think the saris really do it for either of them, or they don't do it for the saris. Maybe it's just bad lighting. Are they wearing felt blouses??

uh ... maybe it is just a bad color for them?

They look good. Not glamourous perhaps but real authentic South Indians..being South Indians in Bangalore, wearing Mysore Silk Sarees and being published in The Hindu is very very correct. The blouses, by the way, are not felt but satin and ready-to-wear, one size (generally) fitting all.

Ther hairstyle doesn't match the saree color. Either have long hair or change saree color. They need better fashion advisor.

At first glance, I thought they were two guys in sarees, though I agree. They *do* look authentic South Indian.

If you would like to know how to tie one of these beautiful Saris, check out http://www.howvids.com/Fashion/How_to_tie_a_Sari_-_Part_1.ad2

I guess the worst part is that they are just not able to carry the saree.

This particular article on fashion might be some interest to you.
